EP Series

New panel bender.

 

Exceeding conventional panel bending range! Next-generation automatic bending machine.

 

Bending of thin to thick and large blanks.

The conventional panel benders were strongly impacted by the processing range and thickness constraints and were only able to produce limited products despite their high productivity.

With the new EP series of panel benders, the thickness and size processing ranges are expanded and assemblies can be produced. Smooth transfer to the next process is thus ensured.

FEATURES - EP Series

Expansion of processing shape range

  • We have further expanded the processing area, such as deep bending, and support for small and stepped bending.

Expansion of maximum workable plate thickness

  • It is now possible to process plate thicknesses up to 3.2 mm for iron and 2 mm for stainless steel.

Support for complex shapes

  • It is now possible to handle complex shapes such as closing shapes (including R bending).

FUNCTIONALITY - EP Series

loading unit

  • A device that sucks and transports a work that has been put into the EP onto the brush table using a vacuum pad, and passes it to the EP manipulator.
  • Automatically changes the adsorption range of the vacuum pad according to the product work size.

Manipulator & brush table

  • The workpiece received from the loading unit is clamped, and material handling is performed by speedily turning, moving forward, and retreating on the brush table.

Upper/lower Tool & normal/reverse bending blade

  • The workpiece is sandwiched and pressed by the upper/lower dies, and the forward/reverse bending blades are moved in an arc to bend the workpiece.
  • The clearance between the die and the bending blade is variable according to the plate thickness and material of the workpiece.

Positioning pin

  • A device that performs three-point positioning in order to clamp a workpiece at an accurate position with a manipulator.
  • Positioning operation is basically done only once before bending, but additional positioning is possible during bending.

Automatic Tool changer (ATC)

  • This is a device that automatically sets up the tool layout according to the product work size. Change the end tool arrangement and the number of mobile tools.

EP-AMNC

  • EP-AMNC, which is an EP on-site terminal, can perform bending processing by calling the EP bending program that is registered in centralised management in association with the 3D data on the SDD server.
